Measurement and Calibration

This workspace prepares measurement and calibration experiments from an A2L (ASAP2) description. You browse measurement and calibration objects, build a measurement set, display samples from runtime or replay evidence, and stage calibration changes. Open Runs → Measurement & calibration.

Where the data comes from. Measurement data comes from DEP runtime or replay evidence. DEP does not measure or calibrate an external ECU. Calibration changes are staged locally until runtime evidence confirms a write.

Activities

Measurement Experiment and A2L / XCP Calibration.

Measurement Experiment

PanelUse
Experiment / SourcesThe experiment name and source, for example OfflineConfiguration. Use Import A2L (dialog Open A2L / ASAP2) or load a saved experiment. Counters show A2L objects, active variables and samples.
A2L Variable BrowserSearch measurement and calibration objects by name, canonical signal or unit. DEP validates the A2L file when it imports it.
Active Measurement SetDrag variables here to include them in the experiment. Adding a variable configures the experiment. It does not produce samples.
Measurement DisplayPlot, numeric or table display of imported or runtime samples. Without samples it stays empty. DEP never animates a fake live trace.
Calibration ExperimentAdd A2L CHARACTERISTIC objects, edit values, then Apply via runtime or Revert. The label Staged ≠ transmitted means a value is shown as applied only when runtime evidence reports the write and readback.
AcquisitionSource, configured variables, recording and available samples.

A2L / XCP Calibration

This activity works with the integrated runtime models:

  1. Import A2L.
  2. Create watch on measurement objects and Sample now to read them from the runtime.
  3. Create set for a calibration set, then Add / update values and Apply set.

Network scenarios can also calibrate and assert A2L values as test steps (see Scenarios).
